Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Part-Time Produce Associate in Lexington Park, MD. You will keep the produce department stocked, greet customers, fulfill special requests, and help maintain an appealing, clean display.

You’ll unpack deliveries, trim and rotate stock, price items, and assist in building displays. You’ll follow sanitation rules, use PPE, and may help in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps produce department well stocked and appealing; greets customers and handles requests with courtesy.
• Unpacks cartons, trims produce, rotates stock, and ensures items are priced with correct signage.
• Assists in building displays and logs product information; handles spoiled or damaged items per policy.
• Maintains sanitation, follows cleaning schedules; uses PPE properly and disposes of trash.
• Helps minimize shrink; reports shortages and overages to the manager.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries; trained to use power or hand jacks.
• May assist with baling cardboard; training provided.
• Supports department and store operations; cooperates with coworkers and supervisors.
• May work in other departments as needed; adheres to safety and health requirements.
