Sam's Club is seeking a Produce Department Lead to drive sales and supervise a team of hourly associates. You will model expertise in Produce and collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations.

You will lead and train staff, maintain product knowledge, ensure compliance with safety standards, and continuously improve operations to deliver a seamless total club experience for members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of associates in your area to execute the business plan and deliver exceptional member experiences.
• Set clear goals, expectations, and standards for quality, production, and member service.
• Advocate for the member, the associate, and the company—every day.
• Partner with cross functional team leaders to deliver a seamless total club experience.
• Maintain deep knowledge of fresh operations on the floor and in the backroom, including product specifications, seasonality, and production expectations.
• Ensure your area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, equipment usage, production, food safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Train and upskill your team on processes, recipes/specs (as applicable), safe handling, and consistent execution.
• Stay current on new products, processes, and tools—leveraging learning resources and training opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
• Engage with members and build confidence in product selection through service, knowledge, and pride in quality.
