Qualifications

• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
• Encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and store.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Review and inspect products for quality and freshness; take appropriate action.
• Inform customers of produce specials and suggest items.
• Prepare produce platters/trays as needed.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and reinforce safety programs.
• Follow safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Provide support in high paced, sometimes stressful environments.
