Job summary

Baker's is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to deliver outstanding service and keep produce and department areas clean and well-stocked. You will assist in achieving department sales goals, promote brand products, and help customers with product selection and questions.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe store conditions, handling inventory, and supporting produce displays while upholding company values of respect, integrity, and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction) is needed.
• Current food handlers permit expected upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment to encourage customer returns.
• Assist the department manager in achieving department sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.
• Support and promote corporate brands to customers.
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations to help customers find items they want and need.
• Assist with produce platters/trays, labeling, stocking and inventory of department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/ shipping to the department manager.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
