Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. in Kansas is looking for a Produce Clerk who will stock, rotate, and merchandise fresh produce while delivering friendly, helpful service to customers. You will help customers locate items, maintain product freshness, and keep the department clean and organized.

This role supports the Produce team by stocking shelves, reviewing invoices, and ensuring safe handling and sanitation throughout the shift. Training is provided; high energy and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling pricing and totals.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.
• Adhere to sanitation, food safety, and department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping with their needs.
• Review merchandise for freshness and rotate product to maintain quality.
• Ensure adequate product supply and prepare, finish, and replenish as needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area and follow sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking, ordering, and price tagging; respond to customer inquiries.
