Moser’s Grocery Store in Columbia, MO is hiring a part-time Produce Clerk to stock and display fresh produce, assist customers, and keep the department clean and inviting.

You’ll rotate stock, check quality, participate in promotions, and help with front-end tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This ESOP-owned store offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, on-the-job training, and growth opportunities in produce and retail.

Qualifications

• Previous produce, grocery, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are desirable.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities are important.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math and reading skills are helpful.

Responsabilités

• Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh produce displays.
• Inspect fruits and vegetables for freshness and quality.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays.
• Assist customers with produce selection and product recommendations.
• Monitor proper storage, temperature control, and product rotation.
• Handle and prepare produce using safe food handling procedures.
• Support inventory management and product replenishment.
• Set up promotional displays and seasonal features.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely.
• Support front-end operations and other store needs when necessary.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced grocery store produce department
• Exposure to coolers, misting systems, damp produce, and refrigerated areas
• Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
