Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an entry-level Produce Clerk to join our team in the produce department. You will help stock, rotate, and display fruits and vegetables, assist Members with product knowledge, and maintain a clean, organized department environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and high standards of freshness. Ideal candidates are 18+, with interest in produce and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a produce department preferred.
• Knowledge of fruits and vegetables preferred, including seasonal items.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members in the produce department, answers questions and helps locate products.
• Inspects, rotates, and stores produce upon delivery to ensure quality.
• Rotates produce on the sales floor for freshness and variety and keeps displays neat.
• Maintains reserve stock area and condenses back stock daily.
• Disposes of damaged or expired products following guidelines.
• Participates in inventory and ordering with Fresh Manager as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes produce equipment and display fixtures.
• Generates signage and ensures items are correctly priced and signed.
• Maintains club policies and performs other duties as assigned.
