Job summary

Harris Teeter in New Bern, NC is seeking a part-time Produce Clerk to help customers and support store operations. You will stock, label, and merchandise produce while maintaining compliance with store policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, stocking produce, unloading stock, cleaning work areas, and performing floral clerk duties when assigned. Must be 16+; a HS diploma or GED is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers and vendors.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and handle US currency.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and solve problems with a few concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations.
• Process/packaging/stock produce according to Produce Standards; clean work areas; provide customer service; unload stock and reload salvage.
• Perform duties of floral clerk when assigned.
