Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with produce and in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Differentiate between various types of produce, their seasonality, preparation, and price differences.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and rotating products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards; perform housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Comply with safety, health, and company policies.
• Keep display cases stocked and signed; present merchandise attractively.
• Ensure proper temperature control and safe handling of products.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company service priorities.
