Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver outstanding service in the department. You will assist with product knowledge, answer customer questions, and help prepare produce platters while ensuring freshness and safety across the store.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, promote corporate brands, and support the department manager in meeting sales goals and maintaining a welcoming shopping atmosphere for all customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication with customers and team.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Current food handler's permit upon employment.
• Comparable Retail experience (preferred).
• Second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Assist the department manager in achieving department sales and profit goals.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers and maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Answer questions about products and respond to customer inquiries.
• Prepare produce platters/trays and monitor product freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; maintain temperature logs.
• Report discrepancies and safety issues to store management.
• Stay informed about ads and promotions; provide friendly service in a fast-paced environment.
• Support minors, seniors, and customers with special needs as needed.
