Overview Of Responsibilities

As a Produce Clerk you will live our name daily. You will be responsible for handling, preparing, and merchandising farm-fresh produce to deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

• Stocking the Produce department and maintaining presentation according to schematics.
• Facing, filling, and organizing all product items ensuring accurate tagging and pricing.
• Proper stocking, rotation, trimming, watering, and merchandising of produce to ensure freshness.
• Providing inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability.
• Answering customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner.

Restricted Tasks For Team Members Under 18

• Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
• Using a ladder
• Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
• Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
• Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high level of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Can perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and operate a utility cart holding 20 lbs.
• Able to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift.
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
