Rosauers Supermarkets is seeking a Produce Clerk to bring fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs to our customers’ tables with pride and care. You will prepare, package, and display high-quality produce, ensuring optimal freshness and presentation while delivering friendly, attentive service.

You’ll greet customers, answer questions, assist with locating items, and keep displays well-stocked and visually appealing. A team-oriented, safety-conscious approach is essential to succeed in this role.

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge and passion for produce.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers and help them locate produce items.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package fresh produce; stock and rotate.
• Monitor freshness and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
• Keep the display well-stocked and clean.
• Collaborate with team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

As a Produce Clerk, you'll be at the forefront of bringing nature's bounty to our customers' tables. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh fruit products, ensuring they are of the highest quality and freshness for our customers. Your dedication to organization and customer service will ensure that our customers have access to the finest fruits, vegetables, and herbs, while enjoying a positive and enjoyable shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
