Job summary

Festival Foods in Sheboygan is hiring a Produce Clerk to join our team. You will help maintain stock levels, assist guests, and keep produce areas fresh and safe for daily shopper needs.

Reporting to the Produce Department Manager, you’ll greet guests, handle special requests, rotate stock using FIFO, and help ensure a clean, well-organized selling floor. Join us to contribute to our community-focused grocery experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is helpful.
• Ability to follow food-safety practices and store standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Guests: Provide outstanding customer service in-person and via phone to all guests by assisting guests in finding items, taking orders and special requests, and addressing guest concerns.
• Maintain Stock Levels: Ensure all items are well-stocked and displayed according to company standards. Rotate products using FIFO to ensure freshness.
• Ensure Cleanliness & Food Safety: Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organized, and free of spills or messes; log temperatures and rotation sheets daily.
• Maintain Supplies & Produce Cooler: Ensure produce supplies are stocked; rotate items in the cooler using FIFO; order dips, spices, and herbs as needed.
• Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor Commitments: Maintain regular attendance and provide notice for absences.

What You’ll Do:

As a Produce Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining stock levels, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding our high standards of care. Your responsibilies will include:

• Engage with Guests: Provide outstanding customer service in-person and via phone to all guests by assisting guests in finding items, taking orders and special requests, and addressing guest concerns.
• Maintain Stock Levels: Ensure all items are well-stocked and displayed according to company standards. Rotate products using the first-in, first-out method to ensure freshness.
• Ensure Cleanliness & Food Safety: Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organized, and free of spills or messes at all times. Regularly log temperatures of produce items, and complete rotation sheets & shrink recording daily.
• Maintain Supplies & Produce Cooler: Ensure produce supplies such as roll bags and twist ties are well-stocked. Rotate items within the cooler using the first-in, first-out method. Order specific products such as dips, spices, and herbs, as needed.
• Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
