Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product information, and help keep displays clean and organized. The role involves stocking, merchandising, and using store technology to complete tasks efficiently.

Ideal candidates are customer‑oriented, with good communication skills and the ability to stay active in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail or food service is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
