Job summary

Food 4 Less is looking for a motivated team member to deliver outstanding customer service and help achieve department sales and profit goals in Evanston, IL. You will maintain a safe, clean shopping environment and assist in producing attractive produce platters and displays.

Responsibilities include answering questions about products, stocking, labeling, and inventory management while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, and safety.

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist the department manager to reach sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure temperatures in cases and coolers are correct.
• Assist with the preparation, labeling and inventory of produce and department merchandise.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action with those items.
• Stock and inventory department merchandise and report discrepancies to store management.

• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
