Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk who delivers exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help customers, maintain attractive displays, and assist across multiple departments to keep operations flowing smoothly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and the ability to learn store technology while staying active on the job. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
