Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain fresh, inviting sections across our Fresh departments. You will share product knowledge, assist customers, and ensure displays meet company standards in a fast-paced store environment.

Flexibility for varying shifts is preferred; prior retail or food service experience helps but is not required. This role emphasizes active, hands-on work and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service with product knowledge and friendly attitude.
• Maintain fresh, visually appealing displays and organize shelves.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products per standards.
• Support across departments (Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Grocery).
• Follow safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
