Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Category Manager to strategically manage categories, negotiate with vendors, and drive sales growth. The role partners with sourcing, replenishment, and supply chain teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and assortment across stores.

The ideal candidate has a strong financial background and proven experience in category planning and P&L management, with excellent negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field and/or 3-5 years of relevant retail experience.
• 3-5 years relevant business experience with marketing, merchandising and financial management practices.
• Strong understanding of P&L and financial management.
• Ability to read and interpret P&L statements and influence category results.
• Exceptional skills in negotiation, analysis, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales and executes category strategy to meet targets.
• Owns vendor relationships and negotiates for growth and assortment.
• Monitors price performance to obtain competitive advantage.
• Collaborates with sourcing, replenishment and supply chain to optimize service levels.
• Develops and communicates a yearly category business plan with trends.
