Job summary

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly in Southeast Wisconsin is seeking a Produce Department team member to assist with receiving, displaying, facing and pulling department products, while helping customers in a friendly, outgoing manner.

You will work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends, operate scales and other department equipment, and perform basic PC entries. Previous produce experience is desirable, and candidates should be self-directed, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with produce desired.
• Be able to perform Produce Operations, practices and procedures within a retail grocery environment.
• Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
• Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
• Good customer relations’ skills.
• Be able to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
• Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices
• Do basic PC entries required for this position.
• Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work hours required. This includes flexible shift schedules, overtime and weekends required.
• Work in physical environment and meet physical requirements.
• Meet and maintain job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements and wear safety attire.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Reporting directly to the Produce Department Manager performs varied supportive produce functions in an efficient and timely manner.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Performs duties necessary to ensure department products are received, displayed, faced and pulled per department requirements. Assists customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED

Proficient skill in operation of standard department equipment, which includes scales, handcarts, side cutters to open crates, knives to cut product, pineapple coring machine and sanitizing equipment.
