Job summary

Sam's Club in Harrisburg, PA is seeking team members for our Produce department to ensure quality, freshness, and availability of goods while delivering friendly customer service.

You will be on the front lines helping members, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized area. The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a strong focus on member satisfaction.

  • Be a Team Member: maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; be flexible to work in other areas, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: understand processes and specifications related to quality of produce; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; adhere to applicable laws and company policies.
  • Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
  • Be an Owner: drive department performance; use digital tools; apply perpetual inventory management techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide customer attention and peer guidance.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: advocate for the department and club; model high-quality service and products; execute basics at highest level; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; implement action plans; use Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvements; adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
