Holtec is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to lead purchasing, contract administration, and inventory management for the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, Michigan. You will supervise procurement staff, manage inventory to meet work schedules, and ensure cost-effective material availability while maintaining compliance with nuclear standards.

Primary responsibilities include budget support, performance reporting, and serving as the liaison between Supply Chain and plant departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related field, with at least 2 of the 3 years’ experience being Nuclear power plant related.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals.
• Demonstrated understanding of UCC, Contract Law and FERC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing, contract administration, inventory management and supply chain activities.
• Lead staff, manage priorities, and improve equipment reliability through stock optimization.
• Assist in budget development and performance reporting on materials and contracts.

Job description

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing purchasing, contract administration, inventory management, and supply chain activities in support of the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, Michigan. As part of the historic restart of Palisades, the first U.S. nuclear plant to return to service after entering decommissioning, this role supervises Procurement personnel, ensures the efficient acquisition and availability of materials and services, manages inventory and budget performance, and serves as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and key plant departments. The Procurement Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and nuclear industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support leadership in the administration of the Supply Chain processes. Day to day supervision of assigned staff. Manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. Manage multi-disciplined groups and function as a team leader to improve station equipment reliability through appropriate stocking of critical and non-critical components.
• Assist in budget development and manage departmental functions within budget. Prepare reports, charts and briefings dealing with material acquisition, inventories, material availability, contract status, etc. Manage site inventory to ensure that appropriate parts are available to meet the work week schedule while at the same time not maintaining obsolete or excess stock and minimizing total costs. Work with Production and Maintenance Departments to minimize over reservation of materials.
• Responsible for safety, leadership, training, and supervision of site Procurement personnel. Establish departmental objectives and standards of performance in accordance with defined Supply Chain objectives and nuclear site expectations. Ensure that personnel implement assigned processes in accordance with standardized Supply Chain procedures.
• Document adverse conditions and performance deficiencies in the Condition Report Program, perform CR dispositions, develop, and implement corrective action plans, and verify effectiveness of actions taken.
• Serve as Self-Assessment and/or Benchmark Team Lead or Team Member. Provide daily direction to Procurement Engineering to align with supply chain priorities. Provide emergency, back-shift, and outage support as required. Support the Emergency Response Organization and activities.
• Serve as primary liaison between Supply Chain and interfacing plant departments including Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Operations, Chemistry, and Project Management. Act on behalf of Supply Chain leadership, as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related field, with at least 2 of the 3 years’ experience being Nuclear power plant related.
• Full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to apply applicable codes and regulations, including UCC, Contract Law and FERC.
• Desired: Professional certification in Purchasing, Materials Management, Inventory Management & Control, Contract Management, or Project Management.
