Job summary

Lilly invites motivated students to join a 10–12 week Strategic Sourcing Internship in Indianapolis. You will work with a team on a targeted project using world-class procurement tools and processes, with exposure to Senior Leadership and a final project presentation.

Interns will explore Category Strategy, spend diagnostics, market analyses, and external market knowledge building, with opportunities for full-time conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in business-related field with Aug 2028 graduation goal.
• Experience using AI tools in academic, project, or work settings.
• Strong analytical thinking with ability to interpret data.
• Emerging leadership through academics or part-time roles.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Interest in data to support business decision-making.
• Exposure to data analysis, visualization, or financial tools (Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL).
• Interest in AI to solve business problems and improve processes.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Procurement / Supply Chain interest; Pharma/Healthcare interest.
• Strong problem solving and excellent teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of a Category Strategy creating value in key business areas.
• Complete spend diagnostic to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Develop a market analysis model of cost.
• Build external market knowledge base for business goods/services.
• Act as part of a negotiation/contracting team.
• Interact with Senior Leadership and present project outcomes.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance procurement analyses and insights.
