Actalent is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist with experience in medical manufacturing to support sourcing, vendor management and contract negotiations for mechanical and electrical components in Scottsdale, AZ.

This contract role is focused on ensuring supply chain continuity, cost efficiency, and compliance with medical device standards, with openness to candidates from aerospace or automotive backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in the medical manufacturing industry.
• Experience in spend management and project tracking.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts.
• Proficient in procurement systems and tools (e.g., ERP, SAP, Oracle).
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in the medical manufacturing industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in spend management and project tracking.
• 2+ years of strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate mechanical and electrical vendors for medical device components.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and vendor onboarding.
• Manage procurement requests, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
• Track and report on project milestones, procurement timelines, and cost savings.
• Support tariff mitigation strategies and identify opportunities for second sourcing.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Ensure alignment with medical device industry standards and internal quality systems.

Work Environment

The role is based in a medical devices manufacturing setting with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
