Job summary

Greenheck Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage complex procurement processes and optimize costs. You’ll work with stakeholders across production, sales, and engineering to source parts, negotiate terms, and drive supplier partnerships for key projects.

The role requires 4–8 years in procurement, a related degree, and proficiency with ERP/SAP and Microsoft Office. On-site work in Minneapolis, MN is expected with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in procurement/buying.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in business, supply chain or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain or a related field of study preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general purchasing support (place PO's, follow up with suppliers, communicate to business units) to support production requirements and risk mitigation.
  • Lead the negotiation of suppliers/categories assigned to the Buyer desk, including pricing, packaging/shipping, contract terms, quality, and other procurement program aspects.
  • Meet with suppliers and lead negotiations for favorable pricing and build long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate between production scheduling, sales and engineering to obtain information and identify purchasing requirements for new or redesigned products or special projects.
  • Identify and develop alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials.
  • Collaborate across departments to support new developments in material, equipment and techniques.

Work closely with stakeholders on key initiatives and identify and develop alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGProvide general purchasing support (place PO's, follow up with suppliers, communicate to business units) to support production requirements and risk mitigation.Lead the negotiation of suppliers/categories assigned to the Buyer desk. This includes pricing, packaging/shipping, identifying potential suppliers, contract terms, quality, and all other aspects of the procurement program.Meet with suppliers and lead negotiations for favorable pricing and build long-term partnerships. Including accountability for acknowledging daily purchase order confirmations from suppliers and proactively sharing any discrepancies with the appropriate teams.Lead the coordination between production scheduling, sales and engineering departments to obtain information, resolve problems and identify purchasing requirements for new or redesigned products or special projects.Lead the identification and development of alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials.Lead the identification and collaboration activities across the company to support new developments in material, equipment and techniques with other departments and delegating initiatives to team and key stake holders.Support all levels of the organization as it relates to their involvement in the procurement of goods through the supply chain. The starting base pay range for this position is $62,685 - $117,552 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
