Job summary

Strike in Spring, TX is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide procurement support for the Gulf Coast Region. Prepare, create, and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for goods and services.

The role will involve coordinating supplier documents, managing supplier qualifications, and generating cost savings reports. 1-2 years procurement experience and a Bachelor's degree are preferred; sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is strongly preferred.
• Procurement certification from accredited institution strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience in construction, energy services and/or project management environment.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement needs from bid process to PO issuance and management of open commitments.
• Identify, prepare, create, and process requisitions and POs for procurement of goods and services.
• Coordinate and assist with required supplier documents, including PO, change orders and related docs.
• Support management of supplier qualification requirements, including contract, safety and insurance expectations, and pricing.
• Ensure supplier documents are stored properly for retention and retrieval in proper electronic formats.
• Identify and prepare cost savings and avoidance reports.
• Represent Strike in recurring meetings with suppliers, including account overview.

This will be an onsite role based at our Spring, TX or Baytown, TX location!

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will provide procurement support to all Strike’s Gulf Coast Region. Prepare, create, and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for the procurement of goods and services.

Primary Job Functions

• Support company’s procurement needs, from bid process to Purchase Order issuance and management of open commitments.
• Identify, prepare, create, and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for the procurement of goods and services.
• Coordinate and assist with Strike’s required documents for suppliers, including but not limited to purchase orders, change orders and any related documents.
• Support management of supplier qualification requirements, including contract, safety and insurance expectations, and established pricing.
• Ensure that documents related to suppliers are stored properly for accurate retention and retrieval in proper electronic storage and data formats.
• Identify and prepare cost savings and avoidance reports.
• Represent Strike in recurring meetings with suppliers, including account overview.

Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Previous experience in a construction, energy services and/or project management environment.

Education/Training

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher is strongly preferred.
• Procurement certification from accredited institution strongly preferred.
