MKS Instruments is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Rock Hill, SC to partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and Finance. You will procure raw materials, resale products, and services to meet production needs while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance, reporting to the Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities include supplier market research, contract negotiations, PO processing, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of related procurement experience.
  • Experience with chemicals helpful for sourcing.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.

  • Conduct market research to identify suppliers and assess capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records including pricing and lead times.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Procurement Specialist at Atotech, an MKS company, you will partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to procure raw materials, resale products, and services that support production requirements while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance. In this role, you will report to the Procurement Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire raw materials, resale products, and services that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, products, and services
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Review and act upon MRP messages and ERP reports to support material availability and production requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services
  • Resolve issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays, material shortages, invoicing discrepancies, and quality concerns
  • Identify and develop new and alternate sources of supply to support business continuity and mitigate supply risk
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier information, including pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, quality, and finance to support operational and business objectives
  • Support inventory optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
