Job summary

Vertech is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive sourcing, purchases, and supplier coordination for our manufacturing projects. You will manage RFQs, issue POs and change orders, and keep stakeholders informed about material arrivals and costs.

The role requires at least 2 years in inventory/logistics within manufacturing, familiarity with ERP systems, and competence in Word/Excel/Outlook. You’ll collaborate with accounting, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory and logistics in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with ERP or a comparable inventory management system.
• Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook for daily work.
• Familiarity with industrial automation components a plus.

Responsibilities

• Summon RFQs from vendors and evaluate bids to secure the best value.
• Craft and process purchase orders and change orders precisely.
• Report PO KPIs to leadership on expenditure and timelines.
• Handle returns and vendor issue resolution with vendors and internal teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and onboarding with accounting.
• Monitor deliveries and flag risks or delays to protect schedules.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Summoning RFQs (Requests For Quotations) from vendors like a wizard calling forth a spell for the perfect deal.
• Crafting and processing purchase orders and change orders with the precision of a seasoned online shopper.
• Reporting purchase order KPIs, because the big wigs wants to know where all the money’s going (spoiler alert: it’s not on gourmet coffee).
• Dealing with returns, because even superheroes have to send stuff back sometimes.
• Managing vendors, keeping relationships strong, and making sure the preferred ones don’t ghost us.
• Helping accounting onboard new vendors (think speed dating for businesses).
• Making sure we’re not paying taxes when we don’t have to, because who loves taxes? No one.
• Negotiating like a pro to make sure we’re getting the best deal, without having to resort to a thumb war.
• Keeping project managers in the loop so they don’t panic about timelines (or, at least, not because of you).
• Monitoring deliveries like a hawk and flagging any risks or delays, ensuring everything arrives on time for the project build.

What You’ll Need:

• At least 2 years of experience in the thrilling world of inventory and logistics in a manufacturing setting.
• 2 years of wrangling an ERP system or similar computerized inventory management system (bonus points if it didn't crash on you!).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, just enough to survive office life.
• A basic understanding of industrial automation components, because we work with some pretty cool stuff!
