Job summary

Conagra Brands in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, or packaging, focusing on price, quality, logistics, reliability and supply continuity.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will conduct market analysis, negotiations, master data, transactional execution, reporting and cross‑functional collaboration to drive procurement excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, commodity trade, or finance roles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for audiences at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and critical problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, or packaging in alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop understanding of market dynamics, cost drivers and logistics.
  • Develop understanding of company facilities, requirements, capabilities, processes and constraints.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Release RFPs, negotiate contracts and execute agreements aligned to category strategies.
  • Provide research and analytical support for procurement initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Support process improvements and documentation efforts.
  • Manage procurement master data and transactional processes in ERP.
  • Develop understanding of material requirements planning processes and data.
  • Drive digital adoption by improving procurement tools and analytics.
  • Collaborate with other functions to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain reports to support procurement performance.

Job description

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will manage the purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, or packaging with a focus on price, quality, logistics, reliability, and supply continuity. You will be accountable for research, negotiations, master data analysis, transactional execution, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration to support procurement excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Manage the purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, or packaging in alignment with business objectives.

Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two or more years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, commodity trade, or finance roles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinking and critical problem‑solving skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools preferred.

Compensation Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
