Job summary

EnQuest Energy Solutions is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source goods and services at the best value in quality and price for Houston operations. The role supports contracts analysis and collaborates with upper management and outside vendors to meet project needs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of transactional procurement experience, is proficient in MS Office, and can work cross-functionally with Project Management, Planning, Engineering and Operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in transactional procurement.
  • Experience with FRAC, Power Generation, and other oilfield equipment fabrication, refurbishments, and other related equipment.
  • Experience in supporting a high-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Project Management, Planning, Engineering and Operations in a constructive and effective manner.
  • Ability to work independently using all resources available.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchase order processing.
  • Defines the correct buying channel for each request and chooses the best supplier in terms of price, quality, and lead time.
  • Creates successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Assists in transitioning and monitoring contractual agreements for the organization's vendors.
  • Assists in implementing new vendors, including vendor creation and purchase order requests through the supplier relationship management tool.
  • Escalation of complex issues to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Executes the accuracy and timeliness of all vendor reporting. Ensures that reporting meets requirements, problem solving for non-complex issues with operations users.
  • Maintain and monitor the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input and feedback from Operations.
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for production needs.
  • Contact vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve receiving discrepancies and other problems.
  • Monitor vendor performance, recommending modifications when necessary.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
