Job summary

BD in Warwick, RI offers a paid Procurement Internship designed to give hands-on experience in purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management within a global medtech leader. You will support make-vs-buy analyses, PO management, and cross-functional collaboration across Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Hybrid work with in-office Tue-Thu and 20 hours per week, ideal for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Supply Chain Management concentration preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work ~20 hours per week with hybrid schedule in RI.

Responsibilities

• Create, place, and expedite purchase orders to support product development and manufacturing activities
• Monitor supplier deliveries and help ensure on-time performance
• Assist with sourcing activities, supplier quoting, and vendor communications
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects
• Perform Make vs. Buy analyses and present recommendations to management
• Participate in process mapping activities and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
• Support key audits throughout the semester
• Analyze purchasing and operational data to support business decisions
• Work within ERP/MRP systems, including JDE
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to support procurement initiatives
