Eastman is seeking an entry-level Procurement/ Purchasing professional in Mexico City to support buying activities and supplier management. The role involves following established policies, reviewing requisitions, and processing quotes to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

You will develop skills through structured assignments under supervision, contributing to ongoing procurement operations and supporting cross-functional teams in a global materials company.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervisor, purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, delivery, and terms.
• Not involved in development of specifications and primarily buys off-the-shelf items.
• Reviews purchase requisitions for proper authorization. Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations.
• Analyzes and selects suppliers and issues purchase orders; follows-up and expedites as necessary. May monitor storeroom stocks and initiate orders within established guidelines. Assists in studies of market trends.

Qualifications

• Entry. Performs routine assignments in the discipline or function.
• R equires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
• Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.
• Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
• Works with direct supervision. Impact of work is primarily within own organization.
