RNS Id is seeking a Tech Procurement Manager to own sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management for software, cloud, hardware, and services in a fully remote, distributed environment.
The role emphasizes governance, spend visibility, and cross-functional collaboration with technology, finance, and legal teams, ensuring compliant and cost-effective technology spend.
Department: Procurement / Operations
Reports to: Head of Operations / Finance Lead
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Arrangement: Fully remote
Hours: 48 hours per week
We are seeking a Tech Procurement Manager to own the sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management of all technology spend across the organisation. This covers software and SaaS subscriptions, cloud infrastructure, hardware, and technical services.
The role sits at the intersection of commercial negotiation and operational control. The successful candidate will be responsible not only for securing favourable terms, but for building the governance around technology spend vendor records, contract renewals, approval trails, and spend visibility in a distributed, remote-first organisation.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard technology vendors across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and technical services. Run structured RFQ/RFP processes, conduct comparative bid evaluations, and recommend vendors on the basis of cost, capability, reliability, and risk.
Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, service levels, and contract duration. Draft, review, and finalise MSAs, SOWs, licensing agreements, and NDAs in coordination with legal and leadership. Negotiate renewals ahead of expiry rather than at the deadline.
Maintain a complete register of all active software licences, SaaS subscriptions, and cloud commitments. Track seat utilisation, identify redundant or under-used subscriptions, and consolidate overlapping tools. Manage renewal calendars so no contract auto-renews without a deliberate decision.
Monitor vendor delivery against agreed SLAs and contractual commitments. Conduct periodic vendor reviews, document performance issues, and manage escalations. Maintain accurate vendor master records including banking, tax, and compliance documentation.
Analyse technology spend across categories and business units. Identify consolidation opportunities, pricing anomalies, and cost-reduction levers. Produce periodic spend reports and savings tracking for leadership review.
Implement and maintain procurement policy, approval matrices, and purchase-order controls. Ensure every procurement decision carries a documented approval trail and that vendor engagements comply with internal policy and applicable regulatory requirements.
Manage vendor relationships across multiple jurisdictions. Coordinate multi-currency payments and settlement in line with company payment processes, maintain accurate vendor payment records, and resolve payment and invoicing discrepancies with vendors and internal finance.
Work closely with technology, finance, legal, and operations teams to understand requirements, validate technical specifications, align on budget, and ensure procurement decisions are made with the right inputs rather than in isolation.
Identify and implement improvements to procurement workflows, documentation standards, and tracking systems to enhance speed, accuracy, and auditability.
