Key Responsibilities

Provide strong and varied support to the Procurement team, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, with a focus on ownership of contract and category management tasks to ensure awareness and compliance to established processes across the company, as well as driving sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations to deliver incremental and optimal value from our 3rd party spend. Manage the team of Procurement Specialists to ensure operational workload is handled in a timely, accurate, and complete manner, and own operational activities as required to maintain business continuity.

This role will be based in either the Immunocore Radnor (PA) or Gaithersburg (MD) office; fully remote work cannot be considered.

  • Serve as the lead contact for certain functions, stakeholders, and related suppliers, providing negotiation, contract management, and procurement process expertise.
  • Assume primary responsibility for the creation, negotiation, and finalization of contractual documents (MSAs, Work Orders, Change Orders) for certain departments in a timely and consistently accurate manner, using pre‑approved Immunocore templates where appropriate.
  • Lead RFPs across various stakeholder functions, ensuring procurement input is provided and the sourcing process followed so that the best value proposal is selected as the winning bidder and communication to all bidder participants is timely and consistently appropriate.
  • Manage the Procurement Specialist team (2) – hands‑on ownership of required operational workload.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to agree on and implement optimal sourcing strategies, leveraging spend through fewer sources of supply to generate maximum value.
  • Contribute to the corporate savings pipeline by identifying new efficiency opportunities and driving projects to swift, successful, and sustainable implementation.
  • Engage proactively with key stakeholders to ensure business strategy is understood, contract requirements are anticipated, and contract/PO executions are effectively progressed in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate and appropriately mitigate potential supply or supplier sourcing risks.
  • Support accurate and timely completion of Procurement Specialist responsibilities, being sufficiently knowledgeable about systems to educate stakeholders, suppliers, and coach Procurement Specialists on key process steps and the importance of adherence.
  • Develop proficiency in NetSuite (ERP) and Agiloft (Contract Management).
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to enhance department infrastructure, including the introduction and incorporation of AI and other technologies.
  • Proactively identify and implement process‑efficiency opportunities to accelerate contract review and supplier negotiation steps.
  • Be a positive advocate for corporate compliance initiatives and contract management process enhancements with relevant stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Act as a role model for the application of relevant corporate policies and procedures, and adhere to compliance and process requirements.
