Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Newark, CA, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• Significant procurement leadership experience in manufacturing or related environments.
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing experience.
• Proven track record delivering cost savings and operational improvements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Knowledge of S&OP/IBP processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide expertise in global sourcing strategies and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Oversee all direct and indirect procurement activities including materials, services, and capital equipment.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships through contract negotiation and performance management.
• Drive supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, service, and innovation metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, systems, and best practices.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams to support integrated business planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical procurement standards.
• Prepare ISR submissions and adhere to FAR/DFAR where applicable.
