Black & Veatch, Overland Park, KS, seeks a Procurement Intern to gain hands-on experience in supplier management and purchasing processes. You will assist with establishing supplier lists, RFQs, and processing purchase orders while learning Procurement software and company policies in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year program in Supply Chain, Business, Technical/Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Pre-employment requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Input for established procedures and systems.
• Implement policies and procedures of the firm and department.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a Suppliers' List.
• Assist in preparing, issuing and receiving RFQs.
• Assist in evaluating quotations.
• Learn procurement software used by the department.
• Review and process purchasing documents.
• Prepare/issue/maintain records of purchase orders.
• Learn procurement processes.
• May process approvals for supplier invoices and maintain records.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Procurement

Enrollment in a 4-year program in Supply Chain or related field
