Job summary

Winsupply is offering a Procurement Intern position within Winsupply Sourcing Services (WSS). This internship provides hands-on experience with inventory, procurement, and reverse logistics to support entrepreneurial small businesses nationwide.

You will build vendor relationships, use purchasing systems, monitor supplier performance, and forecast needs in a collaborative, mentor-guided program designed to develop real-world skills and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university at undergrad or master's level.
• Interest in procurement and supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage vendor relationships for all non‑trade material suppliers, including packaging, shipping supplies, pallets, and office consumables.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and service levels to ensure continuous availability of essential facility materials.
• Utilize WSS purchasing systems (e.g., WISE, WMi, Trucommerce, Minedxai) to process purchase orders, manage non‑trade item master data, and update delivery schedules.
• Resolve product shortages, shipping damages, and invoice discrepancies in close coordination with DC receiving teams and external vendors.
• Forecast supply needs with DC leaders (e.g., boxes, pallets, wrap) and prevent operational disruptions.
• Hold oneself to WSS service standards, achieving target fill rate, inventory turn, and DOH metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
