Job description

Opportunity Overview

Procurement Engineer based in Jupiter, FL 33478. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). The Procurement Engineer (PE) ensures that the parts ordered and requested maintain the design, license, and technical specifications of the associated plant. The role supports project, operational, and outage work when parts are requested from the nuclear fleet and includes evaluating purchase requirements, associated testing and certification, and conducting Item-Equivalency Evaluations (IEEs) to address obsolete or unavailable items. Additional responsibilities include reviewing challenges with parts upon receipt, known as OSDDs, and supporting collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Licensing teams to guide fleet-wide success.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Perform fundamental to complex engineering activities requiring application of standard techniques through nuclear industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in analysis and evaluation of engineering problems
  • Develop test activities to evaluate recommended solutions and analyze data for result inconsistencies
  • Provide oversight for engineering vendor activities and perform owner’s acceptance reviews on deliverables (SDN, SDR, 4016)
  • Coordinate and serve as a technical liaison within nuclear teams and other company departments
  • Lead discussions and trainings in group settings to resolve problems or coordinate production and operating experience
  • Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations
  • Ensure successful implementation of all assigned projects with schedule ownership
  • Support refueling outages, emergent modifications, and other Procurement Engineering responsibilities
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 0–5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nuclear experience
  • Experience with the NAMS Asset Suite
  • Test engineer or hands-on experience with equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience using AI tools such as NEE.AI, CoPilot, ChatGBT – specifically the assistant functionality

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $40.00/hr to $45.00/hr, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
