Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Long-term Intern (multi-semester) to join our Procurement Team based in Grand Prairie, TX or Columbus, MS.

The intern will support the Strategic Buyer and the DMG ticket process, helping organize information between procurement groups and proposing process improvements. You will assist DMG ticket organization, perform data research in SAP, help obtain NDAs, monitor contract expirations, and support SharePoint data storage.

Qualifications

• Current college student majoring in Business or related field.
• Evidence of Completion of data analytics and/or supply chain project.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in English with good writing skills.
• Must be local to the DFW metro or Columbus, MS area for onsite experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Strategic Buyers in DMG ticket process and data research regarding parts (80%).
• Assist and provide support to each commodity buyer in the Strategic Procurement department.
• Organize DMG tickets by program/platform or per part family (e.g. composite, sheet metal, hydroforming).
• Perform parts research in SAP or with internal customers (price, lead time, consumption, etc.).
• Provide research information to strategic buyers for supplier requests.
• Help strategic buyers obtain Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) from suppliers.
• Monitor contract expirations and renewals in SAP.
• Assist in sending requests for quotes to vendors and follow up on price updates.
• SharePoint storage: store and organize contract, price, and DMG information.
• Collect and analyze data to streamline the process and propose improvements.
