Job summary

National Park Service, Harpers Ferry Center, seeks a contracts administrator to support the acquisition lifecycle from planning through closeout. You will draft, process, and manage RFQs under SAT, award packages, and amendments, and contribute to required reporting and internal controls.

This role requires federal acquisition experience and the ability to work a hybrid schedule in Harpers Ferry, WV. You will also handle invoices, service entries, and correspondence, while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Demonstrated U.S. federal acquisition or contracts-administration experience (required).
• Ability to follow FAR-based and agency procedures for files, invoices, modifications, closeout, and simplified-acquisition documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and professional email (Outlook and Gmail-based systems).
• Strong written communication for RFQs, award documents, reports, and official correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple actions, meet deadlines, and keep official files accurate.
• Ability to obtain/maintain NAC or NACI and a PIV credential before performance starts.
• Ability to work hybrid (remote and on-site in Harpers Ferry, WV).
• Willingness to sign a post-award NDA if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain official procurement records and workload trackers.
• Process contract close-outs, undelivered orders, deobligation modifications, and other modifications.
• Track timelines and document issues; develop guidance or procedures.
• Review invoices and generate Service Entry Sheets and Goods Receipts per FAR 32.
• Obtain inspection and acceptance documentation and recommend payment.
• Develop acquisition planning documents and issue RFQs under SAT.
• Draft award documentation and supporting letters and reports.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports, including USAspending and FA metrics.
• Provide training and attend meetings; identify and escalate policy issues.
