Job summary

GoHealth is seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to develop and execute category strategies across indirect spend, optimizing cost and quality. You will analyze spend data, manage supplier relationships, and support sourcing initiatives that align with organizational goals.

The role requires collaboration with Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, and Professional Services, plus experience with RFIs, RFPs, and contract management. Travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, category coordination, vendor management, or sourcing.
  • Preferred: CPSM or CSCP certification; spend analysis and supplier evaluation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category-level procurement strategies focusing on cost efficiency, service quality, and risk mitigation across indirect spend areas.
  • Support evaluation, selection, and ongoing management of suppliers within assigned categories.
  • Manage contract-related activities including negotiations, renewals, amendments, and compliance tracking.
  • Conduct spend analysis and supplier reviews to identify trends and savings opportunities.
  • Execute sourcing initiatives (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) with cross-functional data collection and evaluation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align category strategies with business needs and priorities.

This role assists in managing key spend categories by coordinating supplier activities, performing spend analysis, and supporting sourcing initiatives that align withorganizational supplier identification,data collection, and evaluation of responses cross functionally.• Partner with internal stakeholders (Operations, Clinical, Finance, IT, Marketing, and Professional Services) to align category strategies with business needs and operational priorities.• Ensure timely and accurate execution of category-related procurement transactions in accordance with procurement policies and approval requirements.• Maintain complete and accurate category documentation, sourcing files, supplier records, and compliance materials.• Collaborate closely with the Procurement Analyst to
