Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join our One-MHS team in Bellevue, WA. You will develop and execute capital sourcing strategies for equipment and MHE sub-systems, drive procurement value, and partner with design, operations, and finance to optimize costs and performance.

You will lead cross-functional sourcing events, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor market trends to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Bachelor's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management or operations.
• Experience modeling complex business scenarios.
• Experience data analysis to inform decisions.
• Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams.
• Experience presenting designs and collaborating with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in procurement and purchasing, including supplier relationship management.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field focused on equipment, industrial automation/robotics, CAPEX.
• Experience working with technical teams on new product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies for equipment and components forming the MHE system.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing events, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s position.
• Manage internal and external relationships with suppliers, business units, and procurement teams.
• Collaborate with global and local teams to deploy defined strategies.
• Influence suppliers’ roadmaps, design and processes to align with procurement goals.
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects to drive productivity and innovation.
• Monitor market trends and industry best practices to inform strategies.
• Develop and maintain category-specific metrics and reporting.
