Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (Ingalls Shipbuilding) is seeking a logistics coordinator to ensure timely shipments and deliveries. You will liaise with vendors and internal teams to manage material requirements and keep accurate records of purchases and cargo movements.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with no mandatory experience, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office tools is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pascagoula, MS.

Responsibilities

• Contacts vendors and transportation companies to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
• Determines when deliveries may be delayed and coordinates with purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering to expedite material requirements.
• Maintains records and follow-up files of purchases, shipments, and returns of damaged items.

The Role

Contacts vendors and transportation companies, to ensure that materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered on promised dates. Determines when deliveries may be delayed; coordinates with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and other users to expedite material requirements; maintains records and follow-up files of purchases, shipments, returns of damaged items, and related matters.
