Qualifications

• Experience supporting internal or external audit and compliance reviews.

Job description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing business-as-usual spending across the organization, ensuring commercial value, supplier performance, and contractual compliance are maintained to the highest standard. Acting as the primary point of contact for procurement activity, they build and manage key stakeholder relationships while leading contract negotiations, supplier reviews, and purchasing operations. The role requires strong commercial acumen, proven

negotiation skills, and the ability to identify savings opportunities and manage risk in a fast-paced business environment.

The Procurement Manager is also accountable for ensuring all procurement activity is conducted in accordance with company policy, applicable laws and regulations, and ethical sourcing standards, serving as a key control point for risk, supplier integrity, and audit readiness within the procurement function.

The Procurement Manager will work closely with departmental teams across the business to ensure procurement processes are executed efficiently, from purchase order issuance through to invoice alignment, while maintaining a robust contract database that supports financial planning and minimizes service disruption.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for the business regarding business-as-usual spending.
• Build and manage key stakeholder relationships across the business.
• Process contract renewals in a timely manner, negotiating favorable commercial terms.
• Proactively conduct supplier reviews to assess performance against agreed KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain an effective contract database to improve financial planning and reduce the risk of service disruption.
• Work closely with the business to identify new savings opportunities.
• Identify and manage procurement and supplier-related risks.
• Identify opportunities to cultivate and strengthen supplier relationships.
• Conduct continuous market research to ensure optimal product selection and pricing.
• Work alongside departments to ensure the timely issuance of purchase orders.
• Work alongside departments to process invoices, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procurement policy, applicable regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Conduct supplier due diligence prior to contract award, including screening for conflicts of interest, financial stability, and regulatory standing.
• Maintain accurate and complete compliance documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Ensure supplier contracts include appropriate data protection, confidentiality, and anti-bribery/anti-corruption clauses.
• Escalate compliance concerns or supplier non-conformance to Legal and/or Compliance teams in a timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to foster positive supplier relationships.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen with a strong understanding of business environments.
• Proven ability to manage significant spending effectively.
• Have experience in contract and supplier relationship management.
• Have the ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting stakeholder expectations.
• Have experience managing purchasing technology and software (desirable).
• Hold a CIPS qualification or equivalent (desirable).

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and purchasing operations.
• Working knowledge of procurement-related regulatory requirements, including anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws and applicable industry regulations.
• Experience supporting internal or external audit and compliance reviews.
