Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is offering a Procurement Internship for Summer 2027 at the West Des Moines corporate office. The role supports the procurement department with buying analysis and program efficiencies in a 40-hour/week Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include researching vendor efficiencies, providing analytics to support strategic decisions, and collaborating with supply chain functions to optimize inventory and minimize stockouts. Pre-employment drug screen is required.

Qualifications

Pursuing or recently earned a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Statistics, Marketing, etc.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to analyze data and report results clearly.
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Research Vendor and Buying Efficiencies.
Provide timely analytics and evaluations for strategic decisions.
Perform cost and performance analyses for purchasing operations.
Collaborate with demand planning, product supply and transportation to optimize purchasing objectives (inventory, reduce stockouts).
Report to work as scheduled and on time.
