Job summary

Comrise is seeking an experienced procurement professional in New Jersey to lead material, CAPEX, and service procurement. You will collaborate with production and cross-functional teams, manage supplier negotiations, and ensure compliance with contracts and SOPs.

Key responsibilities include cost reduction, bid management, and maintaining ERP/SAP data while preventing risks and managing vendor relationships. A strong background in GMP/Biopharma purchasing is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as Buyer/ Lead Buyer.
• Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
• Strong contract management and negotiations skills.
• Strong Project and change management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, including presenting information in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Ability to improve efficiency via KPI programs.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiar with ERP/SAP.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Material/CAPEX/Service procurement.

Term: Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 base + up to 10% annual bonus

About the Role

The position will report to the Procurement Manager and requires close collaboration with production teams and cross-functional departments is essential to address procurement needs, while maintaining communication with vendors to manage risks and opportunities. The role also includes managing compliance, audits, and providing necessary documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Material/CAPEX/Service procurement.
• Responsible for purchasing and cost reduction initiatives.
• Internal/External customer focus to address issues.
• Implement negotiations and contracts, collaborating with the relevant partners to optimize terms, cost and deliverables, ensuring the quality of service/ goods, and mitigating risks.
• Maintain relationships with key functional managers and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
• Responsible for MSA, annual contract, and bid management.
• Comply with global procurement standard operating procedures, policies and file systems.
• Review supplier performance against contracted obligations, service levels and business requirements.
• Maintain material code and other configurations in ERP/SAP, S2P programs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Buyer/ Lead Buyer.
• Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
• Strong contract management and negotiations skills.
• Strong Project and change management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to expertly present sophisticated information in excel, power point and SAP.
• Ability to continuously improve working efficiency through extensive KPI program.
• Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with ERP/SAP system.
• Experience in working with multi-cultural teams.
• Self-motivated overachiever with a drive to excel.
• CAPEX experience is not required as long as they are eager to learn and undergo training.

Preferred Qualifications

• GMP Pharma/ Biopharma purchasing experience required.
• Experience with contract development and execution.
• Ability to mentor younger buyers/ planners.
