Job summary

DreamFields is seeking a Processing Technician in the Production department to oversee cannabis infusion and processing operations, monitor material quality, and ensure products meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

You will maintain electronic and paper logs, input data, support production flow, and work with the Infusion team to uphold cleanliness, accuracy, and traceability in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on inventory tracking, product safety, consumer safety, and maintaining high product quality.
  • Proficiency with METRC and MS Office and related systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Job Summary:

The Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the cannabis production process, working alongside the Infusion team to manage all aspects of cannabis infusion and processing operations. This position is responsible for monitoring the quality and consistency of cannabis materials throughout various processing phases, ensuring that all products meet or exceed established quality standards. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in tracking, recording, and reporting inventory data, as well as a strong commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance with health and safety standards. The Processing Technician will also collaborate with other team members to uphold production efficiency, cleanliness, and accurate documentation. As a key part of the production team, this role directly supports the company's goals of producing high-quality, innovative products while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cannabis material during processing phases.
  • Maintain electronic and paper logs for accurate weighing, tracking, and reporting of all inventory.
  • Input data and manage the flow of production.
  • Clean production areas to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with local and state health regulations.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure the product meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Follow appropriate quality control measures and in-process checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office and METRC, among other systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for proper batch formulation.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on inventory tracking, product safety, consumer safety, and maintaining high product quality.
  • Professional kitchen or baking experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Respiratory Fit Test
    • Completion of a two-part evaluation for respiratory clearance:
      • Part 1: A written health questionnaire to evaluate your medical history and eligibility for respirator use.
      • Part 2: A respiratory fit test to ensure proper fit and functionality of the equipment required for this position.
  • Please note that both parts of this evaluation must be successfully completed to qualify for this position. Failure to meet the requirements of either part will disqualify you from this role. However, you may still be considered for other positions within the company.
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Work Schedule (Non-Exempt):

This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided.
