Position Overview:


Processing Technicians operate an advanced dairy processing system through both automated and manual controls. The Processing Technician is responsible for unloading milk/cream tankers, pasteurizing, and operating a variety of in-process equipment. The department uses blending, heat treatment, and in-process controls to produce high-quality products for our customers.



Principal Duties:


  • Ensure regulatory compliance, process controls, and safety standards are met.
  • Perform daily verification checks at critical control points of temperature (Cut-In, Cut-Out, and Indicator Checks).
  • Operate and troubleshoot various in-process equipment.
  • Test incoming ingredients and work in progress.
  • Unload milk and cream tankers.
  • Pasteurize and process milk and milk products.
  • Record production and quality control data.
  • Clean in place and sanitize equipment.
  • Follow GMPs, housekeeping, and safe work practices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on process equipment, e.g., valve rebuilds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment in the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow GMP and safety requirements.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, lift (up to 50 pounds), and perform manual tasks.
  • Experience in dairy production preferred.

Pay Rate:


Competitive pay based on experience, starting from $20/hr. with a 10% premium for off-hours and 15% for weekend shifts.


Shifts Available:


2nd and 3rd shifts.
