Adams Land & Cattle (ALCC) in Broken Bow, NE seeks a team-oriented processing assistant to handle cattle inventory and routine health procedures in our facility. You will assist with vaccines, implants, castrations, tagging, and sanitation to keep operations safe and compliant.

The role requires reliability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and willingness to work holidays or weekends are essential.

Responsabilidades

  • Administer vaccines, implants, castrations via banding, tags, topicals according to protocols.
  • Move cattle through processing facilities to maintain a steady flow using chute and tub systems.
  • Input, fix, and verify data in daily reports within the internal computer system.
  • Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Follow animal welfare protocols and safety guidelines when handling cattle.
  • Perform sanitation and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on skidsteer; assist other areas as needed.

We are looking for a team player to assist with the processing and sorting of both incoming and existing cattle inventory in our state-of-the-art processing facility in Broken Bow, Nebraska.This person will be responsible for:Administering vaccines, implants, castrations via banding, tags, topicals, and metaphylactics according to protocols and procedures.Moving cattle through processing facilities while keeping a consistent flow, by pushing cattle through tub and snake and operating hydraulic chute.Collecting and inputting cattle sorting data into the internal computer system.Inputting, fixing, and verifying data in daily reports.Maintaining inventory of pharmaceuticals.Reporting any sick or injured cattle to cattle health team.Setting up facility each morning, including computer setup and calibration of syringe and scale chute.Following animal welfare protocols and safety guidelines when in cattle handling areas and facilities.Performing sanitation and preventative maintenance procedures in the facilities and on equipment, including greasing, cleaning, and washing. Report all maintenance needs to supervisor.Operating and preventative maintenance of skidsteer.Cleaning water tanks around processing facilities.Assisting other areas of the feedlot, as needed.Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:Individual must be team-oriented and thrive in a high-paced environment.Driven, organized, action-oriented, and ability to multi-task.Effective verbal communication skills.High attention to detail.Individual must be team-oriented.Basic computer skills and knowledge.Previous cattle and BQA experience is beneficial, but not required.Commitment to safety and quality culture.This position requires:Individual must be able to work holidays, extended hours, and weekends if needed.Individual must be able to work in adverse conditions if needed.Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds continuously. Standing frequently (majority of the day).
