Job summary

Prime Meats is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storage, and material movement in a cold environment. You will verify quantities, rotate stock, and maintain accurate inventory while complying with safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include unloading, transporting materials, inspecting quality, and coordinating with production teams to ensure timely material availability. Prior experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in cold environments (coolers/freezers, 28-40°F or below).
• Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and verifying quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods while performing tasks.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced(temp control) environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull raw materials from freezers/coolers based on daily production orders and requests.
• Verify product codes, lot numbers, weights, and quantities against work orders to ensure accuracy.
• Follow FIFO or FEFO inventory rotation practices.
• Main task unpack raw material.
• Transport raw materials to designated production areas using buggies, pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks.
• Inspect product for damage, spoilage, temperature abuse, or quality issues and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Keep staging areas, coolers, and freezers clean and organized.
• Adhere to strict temperature control protocols to maintain cold chain integrity.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, GMP, and USDA/FDA requirements.
• Wear PPE including cold-weather gear, gloves, hairnets, and safety footwear.
• Communicate with production supervisors regarding material shortages or scheduling issues.
• Perform other warehouse/production support duties as assigned, including sanitation tasks.

• Adhere to strict temperature control protocols to maintain cold chain integrity.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and USDA/FDA regulatory requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including cold-weather gear, gloves, hairnets, and safety footwear.
• Communicate with production supervisors regarding material shortages or scheduling issues
• Perform other warehouse/production support duties as assigned. Such as disposal of carton, periodically throughout the day perform sanitation responsibilities. I.e removal of raw material and waste. Remove any ice build up or condensations in production area.
