Job summary

Nestlé USA in Springville, Utah hires a Heat Seal Operator to set up and run heat seal equipment on multiple production lines. The role requires reading and following English instructions, basic data entry, and collaborating with team members in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 90 days of Nestlé food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must have basic proficiency in English to follow directions and read signs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heat seal machine.
• Change and load film.
• Monitor sealing temperatures, air pressure, and sealing times.
• Check sealing quality and record findings every 15 minutes.
• Monitor transfer points to prevent product loss during sealing.
• Operate Protein Detector and document rejects.
• Load pictorials into Kliklok and clear jams.
• Restart line when down and ensure proper line speed.
• Assist checkweigher with reworks.
• Model the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader.

Nestle in Springville, Utah manufactures Stouffer’s Frozen Food. This location has six production lines producing food up to 6 days per week w/ two 10 hrs shifts daily.

Nestle is hiring for a Heat Seal Operator.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Sets up and operates heat seal machine.
2. Changes and loads film.
3. Monitors sealing temperatures, air pressure, and sealing times.
4. Checks for proper sealing and records findings every 15 minutes.
5. Monitors transfer points before and after heat seal to ensure package transfer is completed without product loss.

1. Operates Protein Detector machine and documents product rejects.
2. Loads pictorials into Kliklok and clears jams.
3. Restarts line when line is down.
4. Ensures line is set at proper line speed.
5. Assists checkweigher with reworks.
6. Models the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.
7. Performs all other duties as assigned by Team Leader.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic computer data entry is required
• Work overtime as needed
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestle factory preferred
• Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
